What makes Gums & Breath mouthwash so different from other mouthwashes?
The active ingredient, sodium chlorite, is completely different from the active ingredient in ordinary mouthwashes. Ordinary mouthwashes typically use alcohol and/or essential oils to kill bacteria so they are irritating to soft gum tissue. The sodium chlorite in Gums & Breath mouthwash releases an oxidizing action that is particularly effective against the bacteria that attack gums. And to concentrate its effectiveness, the oxidizing action is localized in the areas where gums are under attack from bacteria.
