What makes Freedom Station different from government programs?

Quite often people ask this since it is assumed that the government is expected to take care of every need of our military members. Forgotten in this formula is the necessity of helping our military members readapt to the civilian ranks, and to the ability to have productive careers through education, and adaptive counseling. Military experience is invaluable, (if you are in the military)…but it is here the line is drawn. We will be placing injured warriors in an environment that is transitional from the military to civilian, where learning is a necessity for landing that job that will provide for him/her and their family. Our heroes have had to face excruciating pain both mentally and physically. Progress and healing has usually been slow and tedious, but given the mentoring and guidance they need for themselves and their families, we will have brought them to their potential, regardless of disability.
