What makes CR different from AA or other 12-step programs?
Celebrate Recovery claims Jesus Christ as the one, true, Higher Power. We utilize the 12 recovery steps, but CR includes the Biblical comparison of each step. CR also utilizes the “Eight Recovery Principles” based on the Beatitudes found in the book of Matthew in the Bible. Why don’t you have any step studies? Step studies must be facilitated by CR leaders who have completed the CR steps themselves. We are currently training leaders who will be able to facilitate these step studies. When will you have step studies? We will offer steps studies very soon. Hopefully, sometime in May of this year. Why don’t you have issue-specific open share groups? Issue-specific groups will evolve out of our current ‘Life Recovery’ open share groups once enough members with a specific issue form such a group. There is no way to predict when this may happen.
