ConMed Linvatec’s committment to excellence in continuous improvement dates back nearly two decades with its implementation of focused factories and cellular manufacturing. In the early to mid 1990’s, ConMed Linvatec transformed from a more traditional manufacturing staff model to the employee-empowered high performance work teams (HPWT’s) that are in existence today. At that same time, ConMed Linvatec adopted the Kaizen methodology and related tools like 5S for continuous improvement events. There is a Kaizen event, or boot camp, or training happening at ConMed Linvatec virtually every week of the year. More recently,ConMed Linvatec has woven the Six Sigma methodology into our campaign for excellence.
