BTR’s financial structure is intended to provide an affordable, high-quality pathway into teaching. Teacher Residents receive a stipend and health benefits, which can be supplemented by student loans. Upon graduation, eligible Teacher Residents receive an AmeriCorps Education Award which can cover up to $4,725 in qualified graduate student loans – more than enough to cover the master’s degree costs. BTR also provides all course materials and books. BTR graduates have their program tuition forgiven completely upon completion of the three-year teaching commitment in the BPS.
