What makes Aikens PRT department unique?
Over the years, we have diversified to now include such areas as the Farmers Market, Washington Center for the Performing Arts, fitness and wellness, a cable TV channel, tourism, the Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame, a skate park; and we continue to look at new offerings to enhance the quality of life for Aiken’s residents and our guests. 4. What is the biggest positive change you’ve seen with the department? One recent change that most people will not hear about but hopefully they will notice is upgrading our level of customer service. A new employee- driven team called IMPACT, which stands for Individuals Measuring Progress, Attitudes and Challenges Together, is changing how we deal with costumers and how we deal with each other as staff members. This group is looking at everything from the way we answer the phone to the way we dress to the way we assist customers and their concerns.
