What makes a small chip develop into a crack?
If you have a chip in your windscreen, it is likely to develop into a crack which could then mean you have to replace the whole screen. There are a few things that can turn a chip into an unrepairable crack, a jolt from a pothole in the road, constant vibration, extremes of temperature change such as turning your screen heater on to de-frost your windscreen.
