What makes a roller coaster popular?
Mostly, it’s size and originality. Of course, the most popular roller coasters at any theme park are going to be the biggest. To most people, big means scary, and scary means fun. As for originality, I’m talking about those with revolutionary new designs (X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain) or feature new ways to break world records (Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point). Also, the newer rides generally tend to be more popular than the older ones. For example, Maverick at Cedar Point and Silver Bullet at Knott’s Berry Farm seem to be the current star attractions at their respective parks, although they may not surpass some older rides in size or fear factor. Here, it’s caused by both their novelty and lots of commercial advertising. If a ride is popular enough, there will be people out there who will be willing to wait in line 3-6 hours for a 30-second ride.
well….probably the place its at first of all.theres a roller coaster in disney world called the expedition everest and what makes it popular is that its inside a fake mountain,in the dark some of the time, and goes backwards too. just be creative and think of something wild that no other roller coaster would have!
