What makes a good show rabbit?
A good show rabbit has to be as close to the breed standard as possible, good conformation, good coat and colour, healthy and in good condition. It must be easy to handle, trained to pose correctly for the breed and be alert and friendly. Usually training for shows begins at 8 weeks. Rabbit hopping shows are rare, I don’t know of any serious organizations for rabbit hopping, but you could contact your local club and ask, or suggest it. I think it’s great fun if you’ve got a rabbit that loves jumping, I’m sure we’ll see more of it in the future. I once had a buck that jumped 5ft with me!
