What makes a good leader and a bad leader?

0

Hi! A good leader is someone who can motivate and excite people about a specific subject. This can be anything from faculty meetings to teaching kids about dirt! Make it exciting! If YOU don’t find it exciting, how do you expect your kids to learn? And if you have to act, then do it! Also, a good leader is someone who takes the time to listen to concerns from members of the team. Sometimes this means taking time to talk to them individually. If time isn’t taken out for personal assessment, how can you expect yourself to be a better person? What makes a bad leader? Well, making rash decisions without discussing it with your team, for one. This is probably one of the biggest reasons that “leaders” lose the respect of their team. It’s the same for teachers. Take time out to get your student’s input on units, or lessons learned. I’m a music teacher and it’s very important to me that I make it relevant to my students. How do I know what’s relevant? I ASK! Great question!
