What makes a good ferret cage?
Size is the first factor. Ferrets need plenty of space to move around and explore. They need their food and water located away from the litter box. The absolute minimum would be 12 by 24 inches, and that would only be suitable for transportation or for use when recovering from an illness. A larger, more complex cage is better. A good ferret cage will have tubes to crawl through, ramps, sleeping hammocks and soft bedding. The more intricate features will entertain both you and your ferret buddy and keep him mentally active and fit. Ferrets are very curious and exploratory creatures and need lots to investigate.
