A good domain name is short, easy to remember, easy to spell and ideally has meaning relating to the company, products or services the web site is related to. For a company this would be the name of the company using the .COM extension. .COM domains are still the king of domains but are often picked over. If a competitor has the .COM domain you want, seriously consider another name where you can get the .COM name or you could be directing traffic to your competitors.
