What makes a good babysitter??
You aren’t the parent, so you can be the kids friends to a certain extent. It is important make the kids like you believe it or not. When my sister and I were little, my mom would call the babysitters that we really liked and played with us because she would ask us how we like each babysitter. However, that doesn’t mean you let the kids get away with murder. If you let the kids misbehave and don’t tell the parents, they will put you through hell. It would be best to learn how to be the kids friends, but you also need to learn the proper way to punish the kids when they misbehave. Putting them in time out, not letting them watch tv, etc. Ask the parents what you should do if they misbehave. Never do anything that involved slapping or putting your hands on the kids in a form of discipline, such as spanking, even if the parents tell you to do so. You’d be suprised there are some parents that allow babysitters to spank. It could turn into a lawsuit if you aren’t careful so it would be best
