What makes a bad bowling ball?
I asked myself the same thing recently when I was shopping around for a new bowling ball. According to something I read on aboutbowlingballs.com, some things you don’t want to see in your bowling ball are:
- Unsuitable holes – everyone’s hand anatomy is slightly different, so it’s important to be selective about the holes on your urethane bowling balls. Try them out and, if the holes feel too snug or too loose for your fingers, avoid them.
- Uncomfortable palm-to-ball distance – Steer clear of any bowling ball that requires you to fully stretch your hand out to use. A good bowling ball will sit comfortably in your hand with a little room between your palm and the ball.
- Cheap brands – brands are important when it comes to bowling balls, and you tend to get what you pay for. Low-cost brands tend to produce sub-par balls that can negatively impact your game.
