What makes a 2000 toyota echo jump out of 5th gear?
1)check your shift linkage and see if there is any play in the joints (woren out ruber bushings ect) 2)check if the linkage bar for damage (bends cracks ect) 3)remove rubber covering from shifter and examine the 5 gear position for any obstructions 4)transaxle damage posible striped 5 gear causeing the slipping out of gear
