What make-up brands are cruelty-free?
“Dermatalogically tested” does NOT mean cruelty-free. Beware companies that use the phrase “this product is not tested on animals”. While the product might not have been, the ingredients WERE. www.uncaged.co.uk/animaltesting has a good list of companies to AVOID, which include Avon, Body Shop, Boots, Chanel, Clinique and Revlon, amongst many others. They are NOT cruelty-free, whatever they try and make you believe with their cleverly-worded spiel. www.animalaidshop.org.uk/cosmetics has a good range of make-up as well as household products that are 100% ethical. www.lush.co.uk do hair dye, shampoo/conditioner, shower gel, lip balm, moisturisers etc. They do not test products or ingredients on animals but people, which is how it should be! However, not all of their products are vegan, some contain honey.
