What maintenance will the panel require?
Generally, very little. Glass can be cleaned in the normal way, but given the nature of many, smaller, pieces you will have to clean each one individually rather than the whole panel in one go. Also, you should not attempt to rub too hard on the glass in case your pressure bows the panel. Heavily textured glass in an exposed environment may pick up a lot of dust and grime and dull the finish. A regular clean with warm soapy water and maybe a soft brush will bring back the sparkle. The blacking process produces a deep lustre to the lead. Over time, this will dull to a matt finish that you may have noticed on old widows and you may prefer. (You can, if you wish, have the panel finished without the blacking). If you want to restore the deep lustre, a rub with a little grate polish and a soft haired brush (a shoe brush is ideal for this) or cloth will restore it.
