The primary filter loading can vary depending on the amount of heavy product collected. It is recommended that the primary filters are checked every two weeks when the unit is new to determine how often these units needed cleaned. It is common that the primary filters are washed every other month to every three months. These units are reusable and fully washable. The secondary and final filters will last 4,000 hours under normal usage without any maintenance. When mist is noticed passing through the filter, the element is disposed and replaced. Most traditional elements are replaced several times a year while the MAC FTP elements will last 2 years on average and cost less than other designs.
