What made you decide to start writing Joggin John?
Ive always had an active imagination. When I was a kid, I would watch a television program on TV then run out to the yard to act out my own version of an episode from that show. There isnt much from the creative world that hasnt attracted me. Thus, when I was in sixth grade I enjoyed reading the Arts section of the newspaper for information on my favorite TV shows, music, etc. The comics were in the same section. It wasnt long before I was reading close to every comic strip every day. (The exception was Andy Capp which I did not like, and all of the drama strips, with the exception of Judge Parker which I did like.) Naturally, I wanted my own comic strip. Hence, Joggin John was born in September of 1984 when I started 7th grade.
