What made John Paul Jones famous?
He is considered the Father of the American Navy. His exploits during the revolution, including the famous phrase “I have not yet begun to fight!” while his ship was sinking beneath him, made him an American Hero. His body, returned from Russia, is intered beneath the chapel at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. I always pay my respects when I go there.
