What living animal of any kind has the strongest bite?
Purely in terms of pounds exerted per square-inch, I believe the strongest bite recorded of any living animal belongs to the Great White Shark. The damage inflicted by a bite is not just a matter of jaw strength, however. The shape of the teeth, placement, leverage exerted by position, and a host of other factors come into the equation as well. A Great White’s teeth are admirably suited for slicing huge chunks of flesh out of their victim – but are not so good at crushing (like a hyena or parrotfish), or precise application of piercing damage to a vital part of the anatomy (like cats).
