What literary character(s) are like Andrew Jackson?
We make a hero of President Jackson because he was one of our Presidents, as well as a successful military general. But if you look at how he ran his military campaigns, he operated much on the pirate’s “kill ’em all” policy. His inaugural ball was a melee, and he was constantly dueling with others. The only difference is that there was no “Peter Pan” to oppose him, unless you count the traditional quit-after-two-terms and death.
