What limits will there be on activities – such as driving, bathing, climbing stairs, and sex?
• Driving: Patients return home as a passenger reclining in a car. On average, patients are able to drive 3 weeks after the surgery after their first post operative visit. • Bathing: Patients are allowed to shower 4 days after surgery. • Stairs: Physical therapy will work with you on stairs prior to going home. Patients are allowed to climb stairs upon returning home. • Sex: You can resume sexual activity following x-rays at your three week office appointment.
