What limitations are associated with the metal spinning process?
The metal spinning process is limited to concentric shapes. Since part specific tooling must be produced, it is usually not economically feasible to produce extremely low volumes of parts that will not repeat. However, Wenzel Metal Spinning, Inc. does utilize some materials that make some prototypes practical. The determining factor for extremely low volumes (under 9 pieces) is usually if the part will repeat at some point in the future.
