What light is better for a turtle aquarium?

actually since turtles are cold blooded they need a source of heat to maintain body temp as well as UV for shell development that being said a clamp would focus the light in one area whereas the lid would raise the entire tank temp creating a lot of stress for your turtle who has no choice other than hot air or hot water hope that helps
