What levels of care are offered in Assisted Living and how are the levels of care determined?
Edenton follows the three levels of care that are mandated by the state of Maryland. The level of care for each individual is determined by utilizing the Authorization for Admission form, which is completed by the resident’s primary care practitioner and Edenton’s nursing staff. The information from the Authorization for Admissions form is then placed on the Level of Care guide and a numeric score is obtained which places the person in Level I, II or III. Individualized care plans are prepared for each resident to foster their independence while allowing them to receive the assistance they require.
