What level of Spanish/English language proficiency is required for the bilingual courses?
Students do not have to be completely bilingual to participate in the bilingual courses. However, a minimal (e.g., college sophomore) level of the dominant language is necessary in these courses. Students are not required to do imaginative writing in their non-dominant language, but they will need to read and understand literature in that language, and to interact with other students. Discussion boards in these courses will freely mix the two languages.
