What level of functionality and support can I expect for Windows 98 workstations?

FAQ Toc The desktop SOE being deployed and supported within the MOE framework is currently Windows XP Professional SP2 or MAC OS X v10.4 Tiger. As such limited support and functionality is available for Windows 98 workstations. Further to this, it will not be possible to join the network unless running a current version of the desktop SOE. This will impact on Windows 98 workstations as users will be prompted to authenticate each time they access a network resource. Schools will however not be forced to discontinue the use of these workstations. Please contact your Regional MOE Coordinator for further discussion around this topic.
