What level of child supervision is implemented at Camp Nubar?
Camp Nubar is accredited by the American Camping Association (ACA). Among the many requirements imposed by ACA is that all campers must be at all times supervised by a counselor that is at least 18 years of age or older. The Senior Counselor of each group is held accountable for knowing each of his or her campers’ whereabouts, and that campers likes and dislikes. Additionally, there are at least four counselors assigned to every cabin during each camping session. This equates to one counselor for every 3 – 4 campers, depending on attendance during that session.
