I just spoke with her today. She is fine and in Los Angeles,” Smith’s rep, Jay Schwartz, told E! News. Unfortunately, the rumor that Perez Hilton picked up on, saying it came from “multiple sources in Latin America,” did involve someone who at least was once connected to Smith. “It was her Charlie’s Angels stunt double, Sandra Franklin, but details are unknown at this time,” Schwartz said.
There are reports on a few websites (including Perez HIlton) from Latin America that “Charlie’s Angels” actress Jaclyn Smith attempted suicide on Tuesday with a gun while at her vacation house in Islas de la Bahia in Honduras. But there’s no confirmation of this, and according to Smith’s Twitter page, “Jaclyn is safe and home with her family. She is not in Honduras. It is a lie.” Now there are Web reports that it was Smith’s “Angels” stunt double who was injured. And she is the one who was airlifted to a hospital in San Pedro Sula with a gunshot wound to her head. OK, let’s hope that report is also false. Stay tuned!
