What led to the end of the Reconstruction era?

Answer Matt, The Depression had nothing to do with the end of the Reconstruction Era — there are about 50 years between those two things. Basically, politicians north and south grew tired of arguing about 1) racial issues and 2) ex-confederates in government. Other issues became much more important.
