What lead to the decision to allow carts off paths in 2006?
Over the years the number one concern we’ve heard from players from surveys returned was their inability to drive carts to thier ball in the fairway. They also mentioned that this was the number one reason they do not play more here at Old Works. In order to increase rounds and to add to the players experience we will be allowing carts to access the fairway complex’s from May 1 through October 14, while the turf is healthy and growing. this change will also assist us in achieving a better pace of play, another challenge mentioned often in surveys. At the same time we are very aware that the condition of the course is one of the main reasons Old Works has developed the reputation as one of the best values and places to play. We intend to work diligently to maintain the turf and playing surfaces to a level that players have come to expect when visiting Old Works.
