What languages do Canadians speak?
Official languages are both English and French, but most Canadians speak only one or the other at home (Most frequently: English). In the province of Québec, a big majority speaks French, but it’s not uncommon to meet native English speakers in some cities like Montréal or Québec. In Northern Québec, most people speak English at home (there are also native languages that are commonly spokent). In the rest of Canada, most people speak English, but some communities speak French as well. In any case, both languages are thaught in school, as a first or second language, depending of the mother tongue of the majority in the community.
