What languages are supported?
The GNOME Translation teams are composed of many passionate volunteers from around the world. These teams do a great job and keep an up-to-date status report. Please see the Orca translation status page for the large number of languages into which Orca has been translated. NOTE that the support for a language also depends upon a speech synthesis engine that supports the language whether BrlTTY has braille tables for the language or not.
Currently the search software is available in Afrikaans, Arabic, Azeri North, Bulgarian, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (UK), English (US), Estonian, Finnish, French, French (Canadian), German, Greek, Hindi, Hebrew, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Latvian, Lithuania, Malay, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazilian), Norwegian, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Sesotho, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Spanish (American), Swahili, Swedish, Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Urdu, Ukrainian, Xhosa and Zulu.
Most of the user interface elements such as button titles, menu items etc. are in English. The text fields of the threat model entities e.g. names and descriptions of assets, vulnerabilities etc. can be in any left-to-right language. As of build 1211, PTA enables the display of the local currency symbol in all monetary fields such as countermeasure costs, threat risks and asset values according to the Current format in the Formats tab of the Regional and Language Options dialog (invoked from Windows Control Panel). 8.
