There is a very obscure language called Brennon, spoken in Nothern France, in the Normandy area. It’s supposedly French with so much Gaelis influence it’s halfway in between.

Not surprisingly, since France shares a border with Germany, a third language spoken in France is German or Germanic dialects prevalent along the alsace-lorraine border region. I have always known that knowledge of Spanish is common since France shares a border with Spain, but I didn’t know it is only ranked 8th. Seems like Arabic is more common. Maybe due to migrants…
