What language requirements exist for local and foreign students?

As stated in the “Application” section of the School’s website, all applicants whose mother tongue is not English and who have not completed an undergraduate or graduate degree from a recognized foreign institution where English is the language of instruction, or from a recognized Canadian institution (English or French), must submit documented proof of competency in oral and written English. Proof of competency in English must be submitted directly from the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing Systems) office. An institutional version of the TOEFL is not acceptable. Minimum acceptable exam results for the TOEFL are an overall score of 100 on the iBT, and a score of at least 23 on each of its four components (or a minimum score of 250 on the computer-based test, or 600 on the paper-based test); for the IELTS the minimum overall band is 7.0. Applications will not be considered if a TOEFL or IELTS test result is not available. Stu
