What language is spoken in brazil?
I’m Brazilian and WE DON’T SPEAK SPANISH. The official language in our country is Portuguese. The entire population of the country speak Portuguese. Sometimes in immigrants villages or communities, the native language of their members is used. It happens in the South, where we have many Italians and Germans families, and in the state of São Paulo, where there’s a big melting pot of Asians (Koreans, Japaneses…), Bolivians, Paraguayans, at least, people from everywhere worldwide. Also in some Indigenous tribes far from the urban centres. But these cases have to be considered apart. Our official language is Portuguese and we speak Portuguese. No Spanish here. In Brazil, we use a Portuguese different from that one spoken in Portugal. That’s why it’s named ‘Brazilian Portuguese’. The differences are in the grammar and in the pronunciation.
