Quantrix is written in Java. A compatible version of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) will be part of the Quantrix Windows installation. The JVM that is installed is a local copy that will not overwrite the system installed JVM. For OS X installation, you need to have the Java Virtual Machine that is provided by Apple Computer installed on your Mac. For Quantrix, we recommend having Java 1.6 installed.
