German is the official language spoken by nearly 100% of the population but villages and towns near the bordering countries such as Italy and Czech Republic, you will find that they are bi-lingual in those languages.

Oh my lord! German is the language spoken in Austria. It can be a little less formal than the German spoken in Germany though. And it’s a seperate country, not part of Germany. EDIT: The exclamation is for some of the answers you’ve had, not your question.
