What language do argentinian people speak?
The Argentinians speak Spanish (Castilian), though their Castilian may sound unique, but not as divergent as Quebec French is to the standard in France… think of them as the Aussies of the Castilian speaking world and you’ll get the picture… however, especially among the older generation, you’ll be hearing a lot of other languages, particularly European languages such as Yiddish, Ladino, Italian, German, Welsh, and Russian, and even Arabic, Chinese languages, Japanese and Korean, spoken, especially in and around Buenos Aires, because just like the United States and Canada, Argentina was, and still somewhat is, a country built by large scale European immigration, and also some Middle Eastern and East Asian immigration.
