What laminate floor color would look good with light maple trim & medium to dark maple walls?
I’ve noticed this recently, going into some of the newer homes. Some have the darker wood tone laminate installed right through the livingroom, dining room and kitchen. It’s not too bad in the rooms with sheetrocked/painted walls, but when it is in the kitchen, in contrast to the real wood cabinets, I think it looks really fake. When we renovated our log home, the walls were all cedar and cyprus…all different shades of natural wood with a huge stone fireplace. I found a product that solved the problem and behaves just as well as laminate….parquet 12 x 12 squares. It’s real wood and has a strong polyurethane finish. Each square interlocks with the next, just like the laminate. Instead of ‘fighting’ with all the natural wood, the variation in wood colors fits right in.
