We own a 2001 Cherokee Limited. From a drivetrain point of view it’s identicle to your subject vehicle (unless you’re 4WD). We purchased used with approx 56K miles. Now has approx 120K. No drivetrain problems. Did have to replace the TPS (throttle position sensor) a few thousand miles ago. AC compressor clutch stopped working last year and I replaced entire compressor myself. Then about 6 months ago system began leaking refrigerant (nearly complete loss overnight). Just recently replaced the AC evaporator (major PAIN but saved about $1500 over having a repair shop do it) and fixed A/C once again. Heated seats weren’t working when I got the vehicle but I fixed both of those myself and they’re still working. Cruise indicator bulb went out last year but cruise still works. (Should have changed it while I had the dash apart for the AC evaporator replacement but forgot) I replaced water pump recently but it wasn’t leaking- being over 100K I figured it was due so I made a pre-emptive repair!
