What kinds of work samples does the panel want to see?
In addition to an application form, narrative, and budget, you will need to include several other items in your grant packet. These support materials help the panel to see a complete picture of your proposed programs. Arguably the most important piece of support material is the work sample, which may take the form of videotapes, CDs, cassette tapes, slides, or writing samples of the artists who will be part of your cultural programming for the proposed project or program year. This sample is the primary means that a panel uses to evaluate the artistic merit of your programs. Artistic merit is the first criterion the panel uses in determining grant awards.
