What kinds of treatment services are offered in the adult acute program?
Individualized treatment planning is offered to best address each person’s unique situation. Short-term, intensive inpatient treatment may include individual, group, family and/or marital therapy. Group therapies are also offered for victims of sexual abuse and can be modified to accommodate male/female issues. A partial hospitalization program can ease the transition from hospital to home. Professionally directed activity therapies include art therapy, indoor and outdoor therapeutic activities, and leisure skills therapy. Education groups offer positive coping options for dealing with anger, loss, grief, self-concept, and getting back in control. Discharge planning and the creation of aftercare plans assist patients in successfully making the transition from the hospital to their community.
