What kinds of training courses does the Justice Academy offer?
The Justice Academy offers In-service training courses. While the Academy has overall responsibility for updating Basic Police Training Curriculum, that training occurs at the community colleges and larger law enforcement departments in North Carolina. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is part of the NC Dept of Crime Control and Public Safety and have their own training department. Agencies such as the NC Dept of Correction, Division of Motor Vehicles, NC Parks and Recreation, and NC Division of Forest Resources also use the Justice Academy facilities for training and use their own training staffs.
