What kinds of textbook problems is it worthwhile to practice?
First, anything that looks like the ones on Demonstrations, Assignments or Midterms. For a few of the chapters, a quick glance gives me the following problems as ones which I think you should be able to do. (This information is not guaranteed – some of these questions might have extra features in them which we didn’t cover. It’s also not intended to be an exhaustive list – that’s to say that you can’t assume everything you have to know is on the list.) Earlier in the term, the bookstore had a few copies of a Solutions Manual for this textbook (although it may be for the 4th edition.) For chapter 8, 8.3-8.5, 8.10-8.20, 8.22-8.33, 8.35-8.36, 8.39-8.46, 8D3, 8D4. For chapter 11, 11.5-11.9, 11.11-11.13, 11D1-11D5, 11D8-11D10 For chapter 10, 10.1-10.7, 10.10-10.20, 10.22-10.29, 10.32-10.37 For chapter 9, 9.4-9.7, 9.9-9.16, 9.18-9.34, 9.37-9.39, 9.41 and 9.42 (don’t worry about congruent transformations; we haven’t done that), 9.47-9.49, 9.51-9.59, 9.65.
