Its important whenever planning a particular application involving HD gear to be sure that the input/output connections will mate up. For example, monitoring from the camcorder will require an HD monitor with analog inputs (3 BNCs accepting Y, Pb, Pr), but monitoring or projecting from the studio deck (HDW500) will require an HD-SDI input, which is a single BNC. Transcoders are available to bridge these connections.
