1. Projectile effects produced by ferromagnetic objects attracted by the static magnetic field. 2. Torsion effects on metallic clips or other devices in the patient by the rapidly alternating magnetic gradients. 3. Failure of pacemakers and potentially of other implanted electronic devices as a result of exposure to radio frequency signals.
