What kinds of religious services are done at Georgetown?
JSA runs one multi-denominational service followed by Shabbat dinner every week. JSA hosts High Holiday Services on campus in historic Gaston Hall. Jewish students also join together to celebrate many other Jewish holidays throughout the year. Check the EVENTS section of the website for a list of the celebrations held this year. Is there a Rabbi on Campus? Senior Jewish Chaplain Rabbi Harold S. White has served as an integral part of the campus and, especially, the Jewish community for almost forty years. Rabbi White was the first full time Rabbi at any Jesuit or Catholic University in the United States. In addition, the University employs two other Jewish Chaplains: Ilan Weinberger, a Chaplain in Residence on the main campus, and Michael Goldman, a Chaplain to the Law and Medical campuses.
