What Kinds of Models Are There?
At any given time, dozens of different Walkman models are in production with wide-ranging features. However, these models generally fall into three series: X, S and E. The E series is the slimmest version of the Sony Walkman. It is lightweight and supports music playback and FM/AM radio reception. The S series is almost identical in features to the E series, but they have a stockier style, longer battery life and built-in speakers. The X series is the premier model, and has support for video playback, touchscreen functionality and Wi-Fi capability.
